Photoelectric Effect, Law of Reflection, Photons, Corpuscles

Photons
- packets of energy that can form as light

Corpuscles
- small particles that can form as light

Photoelectric Effect
- says that light is made up of electrically charged particles

Law of Reflection
- the angle of incidence is equal to angle of reflection

Light (particle or a wave)

Particle
1. Rectillinear Propagation
2. Reflection
3. Refraction

Wave
1. Reflection
2. Refraction
3. Diffraction
4. Interference

I think light can be a particle or a wave depends on the situation.

Comparison of Camera and Eye

1. Lens(photographic for camera and lens for eye)
- used to make images of objects and refract to focus
2. Film for camera and Optic Nerve for eye
- storage of images that are formed
3. Aperture for camera and Pupil for eye
- opening for the light to enter
4. Diaphragm for camera and Iris for eye
- controls the light passing through it
5. Chemicals present in film and Photoreceptors in eye
- used as object of light to make image
6.Lid of the Lens for camera and Cornea for Eye
- protects the Lens
7. Dark Surface of the Camera and Dark Choroid in Eye
- prevents duplication of image by absorbing excess light

First Month in Physics

For me Physics is a hard but a cool subject, it has many complicated problems but as you go over, it becomes easier because you encounter many experiences already. This month looks like a trouble but when it goes on, it will be simpler. The hardest lesson in this month is the SOHCAHTOA.

Finding Vector Using Component and Graphical method.

Graphical Method

-In this kind of method, we use graphics in finding the vector. These are the procedures in finding the vector:
1. Draw side AB with the given length. Then draw side AC.
2. Given side AB and side AC with the given length, connect point B to point C.
3. Measure the length of AC.

Component Method

-In this kind of method we use the components of x and y to determine the vector. These are the procedures in finding the vector using component method:
1. Given the vector that the endpoint is on the origin (for example side AB), and its position, make a right triangle by tracing broken line which will form point x(on the x axis) and y(on the y axis) and side AX and AY which will be the base and height of the triangle.
2. Given the distance of side AX and AY, then use the cosine(distance of x) and sine(distance of y).
3. Use the pythagorian theorem [AB(squared)= AX(squared) + AY(squared)] to get the vector AB.
